Welcome!
And thank you for visiting my website. The last few years in New York and at the Manhattan School of Music have been nothing short of a dream come true. I want to thank Ruth Golden, Kanae Matsumoto, Kenneth Merrill, Glenn Morton, Dona D. Vaughn, David Sytkowski, my family and my extended family for all playing your part. You have helped me on the road towards making my dreams a reality. I am eternally grateful.
I have created this website in order to promote what I believe is the purpose of every performance, and what belongs in the heart every note, in every word; the art of story telling. It is my calling to share the stories of characters from all walks of life through music. They can be found in the most obvious and most unlikely places. My hope is that you hear a story that inspires you to keep telling your own story. Every story matters because we all have one to tell.
All my love,
Angela Joy Lamb
“This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of Nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.
I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the community, and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live. Life is no ‘brief candle’ to me. It ia a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for a moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to the future generations.”
- George Bernard Shaw
I am so excited to now be sharing my journey publicly, with all those I love. Stay tuned for exciting updates!
